You know it's spring when you start cleaning and making things look nice! The kids start spring break tomorrow, so I wanted to get one major project done this week while they were still in school...I have been putting off cleaning my office and organizing all of my paperwork,it really really needed to be done...so I decided that could be my next major project AFTER I painted the foyer and hallway! Here are the before and afters...
Before: Beautiful green stencil from the previous owner..(circa 1992)

After...a much warmer color...ahhhh After: of course now I want a new rug, a new bench and a nice big painting to go in the new foyer! in time in time!
I also spent the morning fixing the kids up for "twin crazy hair day" Melissa and her buddy did 3 long spikes...David and Greg decided to "rock the Red" with crazy wild red Washington Capitals hair

LOVE the paint. It looks awesome
That looks great! We need to come and see it.
I love the hall! HOw on earth did you do Melissa's hair?
That looks really good Tammy. How did you texture it that way?
Gorgeous walls and really cute hair! How DID you get her hair to stay?
I used pipe cleaners to make her her long skinny spikes and an empty water bottle to make her cone shaped pony tail...I used "Valspar Tuscan Accents" paint for the walls...Dale bought it over a year ago..It requires a special primer coat, then the paint over top...I wasn't sure what to do with it, so I just played with it awhile and figured out that using a flat trowel to smooth it out looked best...it is a little imtimidating at first, but really cool once you get going with it...
That looks so great! Now I'm ready to start painting again.
Okay, come and do my hall now, unless Karen or Alison do it first. (I think you will be safe in planning it yourself). I'm glad Melissa wasn't in my class for crazy hair day. I can just imagine how hard concentration would have been that day.
