I know David has been getting more than his fair share of Blog air time lately, but he was so excited about Hockey, and he was so cute, that I had to share the (really bad!) photos that I took to remember that night.
David had played one season of in line hockey, and has been bugging us non stop to play "real" hockey! He plays EVERy single day in our basement either alone or with his siblings. He has a Washington Capitals schedule and tells Dale or I everytime a game is on. He watches the games carefully and can accurately recite back different plays that happened. We decided to go ahead and give him an early birthday present and signed him up for ice hockey, (even though he had never set skate on ice before!!) I know the coach thought we were crazy monday night when we showed up with a kid who had never been on the ice...we reassured them that he wouldn't get frustrated and would keep trying no matter how much he were to fall...as soon as his laces were tied he was almost running on them...they opened the gate and on the ice he went...he fell a few times, but really picked up the basics, even making several turns without falling...he figured out the backwards movements and did well...he even scored a goal during the scrimmage!! So David's first hour on the ice EVER, and he scored a goal...he loves Hockey and just asked if he could go 3 times a week! (no thanks!)

None of that surprises me, well except for your Palin bash. David is going to be a natural at every sport he tries. He really is very athletic.
I didn't get that it was a Palin bash. I guess I'm a bit slow. Anyway, it reminds me of when you used to tell me that he loved to watch sports when he was a baby. Maybe he will be the next big thing. I hope you're doing well :)
I totally get the lipstick/pitbull comments - nice pick up, Tammy. I'm not sure I could be a very good mom for hockey kids - the one and only game I went to, I felt like I was going to have a heart attack at the speed of the entire game. I can't image what it would be like to have a child playing. Are you on tranquilizers?
How FUN! It is so great that he is so naturally into it!
If I had known we were tolerating Palin bashes, I would have started posting them awhile ago :)
I don't think that's a Palin bash, it is sympathic. Actually, I can see Tammy running for political office someday. David is a natural, that is for sure! He already has that hockey grin (no front teeth).
I'm still getting over the fact that they can play hockey in your basement. That is way cool. :)
it is definately not a palin bash! I really love what she stands for..and I love her guts, you can't be where she is without having a certain strength of character...and I say that across the board about all the canidates..it takes guts to even WANT to lead during these crazy times...so I throw my respect to them all...my vote..well, thats a different story...
No kidding...I wouldn't want to take things over the way they are. That does take some guts.
