Musical Clean Up

I know that woman code states "Don't ever tell your age, don't ever tell your weight, and most assuredly don't EVER let someone see how messy your house can get!" Well, I am going to break the code and share with you our house when it was very messy! I dread when the kid's rooms get so bad because I hate the amount of work it takes to get the kids to clean them up. Years ago I started creating "games" for clean up times..so much so that when I say "Hey guys. lets play a game!" they started whinning immediately because they know that means its time to clean up a messy room. So last night we played a new game, and it was such a hit that the kids didn't want to stop playing when we were done! (for this game the rooms have to be REALLY bad) So heres how you play, you have a cd of their favorite songs to sing a long with,( for us it was their kids songs from church) One person always has to be the music person. and the remaining people are the "picker uppers" ....The music person starts the music and then stops it. The music plays and then stops, when it stops if a picker upper is caught with empty hands or with the same items they had the last round then they have to do a round alone while the other picker uppers take a "rest", after that, play continues as normal on the next round...After a few turns if the music person spots an extra good picker upper, then the music person selects them to be the new music person. We did this for an hour, here are our results! (the pictures are very generous, the rooms were actually much worse!!)
