My life is complete!

When we bought our house almost four years ago, everything was perfect, except for two major sacrifices. One: Dale's commute went from 20-25 minutes to 40-45 minutes. He compromised by working from home one day a week. He still thinks it's worth it, and so do I.

For me, I was worried about moving to a more rural area and losing all the conviences of living near everything. So I checked on how close my favorite stores were, how close the church building was, and how close the schools were. Happy suprise, EVERYTHING was actually more convienient out here. Costco was a quick 20 minutes compared to a traffic filled 25, Walmart was 7 minutes compared to 20, and instead of 3 good grocery store choices within 10 minutes I was getting 5 great grocery store choices within 1o minutes, and 1 is three minutes away! Very VERY convienient. Everythingn else is less than 10 minutes, church, schools, hair places, pharmacies,TJ Maxx, Home Goods, pool store, and lots of little Boutiques and consignment shops! All less than ten minutes away. Our doctor is a 2 minute drive. I was also THRILLED with the number of restaurant choices. We did have to compromise on one big thing, no one delivers to our house. Despite several places being 5 minutes away, no one delivers. (Although the pizza hut manager has delivered orders to us, thats a statement on how much pizza we order from them) ANY type of food I desire is within a ten minute drive, with one major exception, that was a very vary sad sacrifice for me! There was not a Chipotle within 25 minutes!!! One had just opened at our other house, and I have to admit, that was the saddest part of moving for me! (Other than family, friends and community, blah blah blah!) I was so excited to enjoy Chipotle lunches after hours out and about doing errands...I have actually planned some friday shopping trips in other places where there is a Chipotle!!

California Tortilla opened a few years ago...not the same!

So how INCREDIBLY COMPLETE my life became when TODAY, yes TODAY I saw it!! A CHIPOTLE sign hanging on a strip mall?!?!?! I pulled a quick right turn to go and investigate. They are not open yet, but the door was open. I went in and the woman excitedly had a job application ready for me...! I said "oh no, I am not looking for a job, I just NEED to know when you are opening!?!" she said, "Dec. 17th" ....Oh my gosh!! I can shop less than 10 minutes away AND get my small indulgence of CHIPOTLE!! This IS MY ABSOLUTE dream house now! I NEVER want to leave this wonderful place!!!! I can even order without LOOKING at the calories posted, I have their menu memorized!!! Oh life is so so good!!!!

I was going to tell you we are getting a Chipotle's in Hyattsville in the new Route 1 development - but alas, you have your own now. Enjoy - I know where you will be on December 17th!

Lol. That is awesome that you are so easily pleased. :) Now if I could just get a grocery store out by me I would be happy. They just gave us a gas station! YAY!
