Yes, it is an Apache helicopter constructed out of duct tape and construction paper... I know you are probably thinking "poor Kelley kid's, they have so few toys that they have to resort to building their own!" ..I swear that this is not true, our kids have PLENTY of toys...For several years now, Alex has constructed EVERYTHING you can imagine out of tape and paper..it used to just be scotch tape and white paper, but this morning I see that he has moved on to new, better materials. Below is a baseball stadium I found folded up in a box...it was pretty elaborate, but I couldn't figure out how to unfold the stands and the dug outs and set them up properly...
A rifle with scope, built before the upgrade to duct tape and construction paper
My four older kids love art, and I have devoted my office to their art...here are two of Alex's latest additions..A pirate
..this is Melissa's latest addition to her art wall....

Wow, they obviously have some of your talent.
Love it! Your kids are really talented. I'm very impressed! :-) They do get it from you!
That is awesome! I love the helicopter. Very creative.
We take pictures as soon as they make something, then they get dumped when the next set it made... cuts down on the clutter... or you could just turn your garage into a permanent art gallery :)
WHAT TALENT! I know where they don't get it from, me. Alison, Cal and brother and his mother are all artists and I know you have a lot of talent too, Tammy. I think it would be a good idea to take pictures and he could have a portfolio of his projects in a notebook.
It is so great that he is able to build those things. I remember seeing the baseball stadium when it was up. The paintings are very good also. Have they taken any art classes or just picked it up on their own?
