Let it snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow.....

I have not seen the news in a few weeks, but Dale called friday morning to let me know a HUGE storm was coming. I got everything we needed for a family weekend. We have been cooking and playing and watching Christmas movies by the tree with a fire, it has been a blast! I wish it would have lasted longer than two days! I feel like we have been on vacation and I don't want to start real life again! Here are some pics, and videos of us in the snow...

Yesterday the snow kept coming and coming...
Today the sun was shining and not a cloud in the sky!

David's exciting week

David turned 8 on Nov. 19th. He was baptized on Dec. 5. (Thank you to everyone who braved the snowy conditions!)

At his birthday party we had pizza, cake and crafts ready for everyone. Also added to the birthday fun was playing in the snow and basement hockey. (Of course)

On friday, David's hockey team and families went to a Caps game. His team were the 'Mites on Ice" after the first period. (David's hockey age group are called mites) Here they all are, amped up and ready to play.

Here is a short clip of them skating...(sorry for my loudness)
the kid shooting from his knee at the end of the clip is David...(video also by Shawn)

airing my dirty laundry...

In 13 years, when I will most likely be an empty nester, and I will be crying because all my babies are gone, I will need something to cheer me up, and this post should do the trick..

Dear self,

Back in the winter of 2009, your washing machine was broken, here is the accumulated laundry for 6 days (not including throw rugs, linens and the occassional comforter!)

Sincerely,

Me
